Museum Antara was officially opened for public on the 55th anniversary, December 13, 1992.
The museum is next to the Ciliwung river, the greatest river across Jakarta surrounded by historical commercial district of “Passer Baroe” built in 1820.  The neighborhood is claimed by the government of Indonesia as a cultural conservation area where lies other European architecture building such as Cathedral, Gedung Antara, Sancta Ursula, Kantor Pos Besar Pasar Baru (Jakarta main post office), Gedung Kesenian Jakarta (Jakarta Art Hall) and the Pasar Baru Bridge.   

Collection :
1.    Location and communication equipment used in spreading out the news of Proclamation of independence  Republic of Indonesia.
2.    Camera and type-writer as private collection of Adam Malik, the founder of Indonesian News Agency.
3.    Articles about the history of ANTARA.
4.    Production and communication equipment used by ANTARA in the early years.
5.    Furniture used by ANTARA in the early years.
6.    Antique Motorcycle.
